Returning to town

You're coming back! I could not believe my ears when you told me on the phone.
I know you do not have to come so soon but I am glad you are. The main reason, of course, is not me - but someone else and I think that is beautiful. Yet, I am so excited. I will see you again and soon... very soon....sooner than I imagined.

Now the doubts set in.

Will you feel the same way about me as you did just a few days ago?
Our phone conversations have been wonderful. But will you really remember me?
I mean, really?
